I'm Leonardo Bertini and I was born in Parma on 3 June 2004. As is often the case for us pilots, the passion for speed is something that has been cultivated since we were children and in fact I felt an almost magnetic attraction to the TV screen when I saw the Red cars dominating in Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The passion grew more and more until in 2015 I decided to get involved and try to climb towards the peaks of motorsport.
I started with the go-kart in the Easy Kart Mini and in the 60 Mini, focusing on the latter in the following two years (2016 and 2017) with the CRG team
In 2017, in addition to continuing on 60 Mini, I started testing in view of the move to the more powerful 125cc karts of the OK Junior class, which took place the following year, again with Giancarlo Tinini’s CRG team.
After taking part in the most important OKJ international races in 2018, in 2019 I made my debut in OK Senior with Dino Chiesa’s official Kart Republic team with whom I also won the Andrea Margutti Trophy at the South Garda Karting.
However, compared to past years, this season the racing karting program has been reduced to leave the space to numerous practice sessions with the Formula 4 single-seater in preparation for the debut in the F4 Italian Championship planned for 2020.
